Tea Ingredients:
3 tablespoons of dried Fenugreek
3 tablespoons of dried Goat’s Rue
1 tablespoon of dried nettle OR alfalfa
2 cups of spring or purified water
Depending on how many cups of this you want to consume throughout the day, follow the ratio below. For the smoothie we will need only 2 cups of water.
Ratio: 2 tablespoons of dried herb: 1 cup water
Directions:
1. Using a pot, add the 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
2. Add your dried herbs and cover the pot. Using a lid is the most important step, this allows all the medicinal properties of the herbs to stay in the pot instead of it evaporating.
3. Once herbs have been added, lower the heat to a simmer for 10-15 minutes. After simmering, allow the water to cool down with the cover still on.
4. When the water is completely cooled down, move the tea to glass jar with a lid and leave for overnight. In the morning, strain the water into the blender to prepare your delicious and nutritious breastmilk boosting smoothie.
